Quarter Sawn, Spalted Tulip Poplar Wood Turning Square, Lathe Hobby/Craft Wood

Description: Beautiful Quarter Sawn, Soalted “Rainbow” Tulip Poplar Wood Blank for Turning, Knife Handle Scales, Pen Blanks or other craft wood. Measures: 2-1/8” thick X 2-3/4” wide X 8-1/2” long +/-** Not planned or perfectly square but extremely close ** These blocks I have been cutting straight from logs that were harvested late summer 2021 right here on my family’s farm in southern Indiana. All sides were sanded to smooth 180 grit.Moisture content was measured on all surfaces and ends from 11.5 - 11.7%. All pics were taken in indoor lighting and from as many angles as possible.Wood is shown in it’s natural dry state. This blank does have two very small end grain cracks on one end, which I zoomed in and circled in the last pic.Nothing serious, but I always make it a point to show anything I see. Zoom in on the pics to really see the “Ray Fleck” quarter sawn grain as well as the beautiful, soft but brilliant color range and grain texture.
