Description: Primitive Sugar Mold Candle Holder, Tealight, Lancaster Co. Amish, Vintage/1950s up for bid is a piece of vintage Lancaster Co. Pa Folk art/decor/trinket. Small 2 candle Sugar Mold made of plaster "chalkware". This piece of art/decor is one of the many items the Pennsylvanian Dutch "Amish" produced to sell, to us "English" people. Typically a chalkware item would have a bit more detail/colors and a seam showing the joining of the individual parts. The paints used in 1940s/50s were also not made to last, consisting of mostly egg. The charm of this piece is it was cast made from single piece and colored with coal/soot and not paint, the artwork is also very interesting considering, betsy ross flag was only used until mid 1790s Ships to Lower US 48 Thanks for viewing this listing!
