Description: Authentic Shipwreck Bottles Up for your consideration is this antique bottle with a very scarce provenace recovered off of an obscure shipwreck that has been dubbed the Buffalo "Coin Pile Wreck." The "Coin Pile Wreck" is an unidentified shipwreck located in Lake Erie. This bottle was found with other artifacts including coins from which the wreck is named. ( Please see my other listings for coins recovered from this wreck). Although the dates on some of the coins that were recovered go back as far as the 1700's the ship is thought to have sunk in the mid to late 1800's die to the dating of other artifacts recovered. You will the exact bottle as pictured. The bottle is in excellent condition with just slight lip chip. Otherwise no other chips or cracks. I know this is not Spanish Galleon treasure but the artifacts and coins from this particular wreck are not generally found up for sale as they are all in private hands in addition, the mystery of the wreck is a fascinating one. I acquired this bottle in addition to coins directly from the person who dove on the wreck back in the 1970's. A great rare opportunity to pick up this scarce wreck artifacts if you are one who likes to have artifacts from different wreck sites! I have been studying, collecting and selling shipwreck artifacts and coins for over 35 years and I guarantee that all artifacts and coins are from the provenance stated. A letter of provenance will accompany the bootle artifact. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence!
