Description: Planet Comics #30 May 1940 Fiction House Classic pre-code science-fiction adventure comic. I have read and reread this one a few times through the years and it just holds up for that anything-goes pre-code fun... but it's time to let it go. A classic space-zombie with damsel in distress cover by Joe Doolin. Yes that's the Eifel Tower. Interior art by future E.C. alum Graham Ingels (as Thornecliffe Herrick), Lily Renee (as Olaf Bjorn), Fran Hopper (as Montague Truex MD), George Tuska (as George Vincent), Lee Elias (as Hugh Fitzhugh), and more. The comic has two binder punches all the way through, spine has numerous pulls, creases, and nicks. There is a 1 1/2' split in the middle of the spine but the cover is still attached to the book. There is a half inch "inverted v-shaped" missing tear at the bottom of the cover, and another 1/4" on the right-hand bottom corner. The interior is tight and complete. Off white pages. Please see pictures for things I've missed. The worst of condition issues are visible here. Will be well-protected in shipping; shipped Priority via USPS. Domestic shipping only; no international orders.
