Description: This is a rare February 18th, 1916 program (playbill) from the two-night, out-of-town tryout of the LEO ASCHER, JULIUS BRAMMER and ALFRED GRUENWALD Viennese Operetta "PRINCESS TRA-LA-LA" at the Court Square Theatre in Springfield, Massachusetts. (The production played the Northeast Circuit for six weeks with numerous revisions along the way but closed on the road, failing to arrive in New York.) ..... The cast included PHYLLIS PARTINGTON as "Princess Marie" (replaced during the tour by HELEN TYLER), GEORGE B. CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is considerable creasing, a corner fold to the lower right corner of the cover, a few tiny nicks in the front cover, a surface abrasion at the top of the back cover and moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
