Description: I recently purchased a small lot of vintage Wedgwood jasperware in all different colors at an estate auction, including a few hard-to-find pieces. Please check my other listings if you collect jasperware as I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple items. This is a hard-to-find pair of tea light candle holders, in the cream on lavender (also known as pale blue) color. These are actually called “hurricane votives” but the glass hurricane globes that are supposed to sit on top of them are missing, so these are the candle holders only, and they look nice as they are. They have a scrolled and floral design in relief around the bodies. They each measure 1 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter, and are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage. They even have tea light candles already in place, although I don't know if these are the ones that came with them initially. The Wedgwood incised mark is on the bottom of each and because of the "R" trademark, these likely date to the 1970s or 80s. Please note that most jasperware has an occasional tiny scuff mark because the dry matte finish makes it susceptible to such marks. If there is anything larger or more visible than that I will note it in my description. Thank you!
