Pair of Bluebird Candle Ring Hugger Porcelain 1950’s , Japan RARE

Description: Pair of Bluebird Candle Ring Hugger 1950’s Japan RARE. They just say JAPAN on the bottom, they are in the style of Lefton but do not appear to be Lefton brand . These have a more matte finish, with only a slight shine on places. The coloring of Blue, White, Dark Gray and Yellow (beak only) is soft and pleasing. The molds were nicely detailed giving the appearance of feathers and wings. The expressions on the faces are whimsical and adorable. These look delicate, unlike some others I have seen that are shapeless , overly bright, and clunky looking. These measure about 2 1/4” H x 2 1/4” W, approx 1 1/2” high. ***** Please Read full description of imperfections and see all pics before purchasing ***** The birds have fine crazing all over. I see a tiny chip on the underside tip of the tail. The bird with the open break has had a chip to the underside of the top beak and it was colored in as shown, the color matches well though. There appears to be places where the mould may not have filled every single nook and cranny and it shows a tiny bubble. There are at least two places where there is a raised lump that should not be there. There is a dot of dark gray on the wing edge where it should not be. They have some dark surface markings on the belly as well. I have not scrubbed or soaked them. I have only wiped down the exterior with a damp rag to remove dust. I did not want to attempt to clean them up and accidentally damage them. If you would like more photos of a specific area let me know.
