Transmitting at the U.S. legal limit of 2 watts, the radio has line-of-site range of 25 miles and a backcountry range of 1-5 miles. The radio also has a VOX (voice activation). Universal Shoulder Strap Mount – the adjustable Universal Shoulder Strap Mount is designed to securely fit any backpack shoulder strap, making it easy to operate and use the radio while on the go.
