Description: Oscar Peterson Trio at The Stratford Shakespearean Festival 1957 Verve "Clef" Series Mono First Edition (with rare label variant !) This RARE recording features: Oscar Peterson -- Piano Ray Brown -- Bass Herb Ellis - Guitar READ: Condition of the vinyl and the cover is extensively described above under: About this Item -->> Condition details from seller or seller notes Considered one of Oscar Peterson's best, yet least known recordings from this period. The label variation: this has the "black" Verve label (which was issued on some lps produced in 1957 along with the yellow ones -- but has the "trumpeter" only on Side B !! It is a "Clef" series recording as indicated by the front cover. The one sided black Verve label with the trumpeter only on the B side is apparently an extremely rare variation (some theorize a mistake -- but the design looks more intentional than not)... Will ship by USPS Media mail to valid US addresses within 3 days of payment. I don't just do a visual inspection -- I take the time to listen to large chunks of every track to be able to accurately describe the audio quality. I'm happy to answer any questions, provide more pics or even brief audio sample clips of the actual record playing. I'm always interested in any buyer concerns and should any arise I will do my utmost to make sure the buyer is happy.
