Description: Original RAF MK VIII Flying Goggles by Levers Royal Air Force Hawker Pilot WWII These goggles are arguably the most iconic of all RAF goggles and saw use with aircrews from 1942 well into the post-war years. They also saw action with USAAF crews, Fleet Air Arm and Coastal Command amongst others. This pair of goggles are in used condition. The lenses are in good condition and the brass frames retain a fair amount of the original paint. The original grey elastic strap is still present and retains both of its original leather pull tabs to the metal adjuster, which is marked with the maker's name of 'Levers' as well as the patent number '530683.' The elastic band is stretched out. On one end, it seems like it has been sewn back on. Please review all the pictures. Overall a very good pair of goggles which display well.
