The distance scale is calibrated in British miles, and the water areas are tinted in a delicate blue wash. Among the named places and features are Port Albert, Murray River, Harcourt, Discovery Bay, Ararat, Portland, Barney Plains, Sandhurst, Lake Corangamite, Port Fairy, Geelong, Ballarat, and Melbourne. The map was compiled and engraved by Adam & Charles Black, Edinburgh, and published by Charles Scribner's Sons in The Scribner-Black Atlas of the World, New York, 1890. Condition: It is in excellent condition, with no marks, rips, or tears. It is printed on a heavy paper and is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side.
