Put the grains into a glass jar with 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk, close with lid leave at the counter top at room temperuture 24 hours or more, until it is not liquid,and thickens such as yogurt and strain it, repeat the same , gradually increase milk amount over time. It may take grains to wake up 1 or up to 3 batches and make desirable kefir. In room temperature it usually takes 24 hours to fermentate.NEVER rinse the grains in chlorinated water and NEVER touch with metal spoon or metal strainer.It is full of probiotic.
