Description: This handmade Noah's Ark set originates from what was E Germany and is crafted from wood in the traditional style of the Erzgebirge region of Seiffen in the workshop of Christian Werner, a master wood craftsman. The set includes 38 vintage figures and has never been displayed, making it a unique and collectible item. Perfect for animal and collectible enthusiasts, this German Seiffen wood Noah's Ark set is a charming piece that captures the essence of the story in a beautiful and intricate design. This entire set of figures are hand carved and hand painted and the Ark is hand assembled and painted. This includes the Ark with a removable top that shows the lower part of the Ark where there are two separate compartments that hold all of the 18 pairs of animals (36 total animals) along with a set of Noah and his wife figures. The set also includes a ramp for accessing and loading the Ark. The entire set and all of the included items are all original. The set is new as it has only been out of the box to take photos. I have had it since the 1980s, but have never displayed it or even removed it from the box. The original box has a bit of crushing from the shipping and the years, but it is still in great condition.
