Description: *Here you have a Great Bit of Vintage Historical Memorabilia! Please...SEE THE SCANS! This is Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan featured inside of a complete 1921 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine! This issue includes the article "THE NEW TRANSCAUCASIAN REPUBLICS." Nice one-page article and a contemporary map! This was in the aftermath of World War I, the Armenian genocide by the Turks, and the incipient Soviet Union. The smaller map is taken from NEAR EAST RELIEF and shows how the Armenians were spread throughout the region. There are, of course, many other interesting features in this magazine… One particularly excellent piece is a 3-page article with one photo “SHE DISCOVERED RADIUM BUT HASN’T A GRAM OF IT” about MADAME CURIE then teaching at the Sorbonne, and the efforts by a committee of women and scientists in the United States to raise money to buy M. Curie a gram of radium… This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition with typical vintage corner and edge wear. THE GREATEST FLAW IS THAT THE SPINE OF THE COVERS WAS REINFORCED WITH TRANSPARENT TAPE... It's not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! Winner, please add $5.50 for postage and wonderful packaging. International buyers will pay first class international postage. GOOD LUCK!
