VERY durable!**This bed has a separate pillow inside that can be removed and washed if you don't want to put the whole bed in your machine. We've also taken the pillow out and used in a window, a basket, or even in the carrier when going to the vet. The inside is VERY soft, velvet-like material, while the outside is a heavier upholstery-like material that wipes off very easily.
