Description: This gorgeous and rare sterling silver necklace is beautiful alone or worn with a pendant. The style of the beads is old vintage and not frequently seen. The necklace measures 29 Inches long. It is made of an interesting variety of handmade silver beads strung on a chain. The chain is fine yet strong and can easily hold an average pendant. Photo no 7 show the space in the center of the necklace where an open ring pendant can be hung. The clasp is a typical hook and eye.The beads vary from plain "Navajo" pearls of many sizes to fluted saucer to torpedo shape, a total of 80 beads. The necklace weighs 62 g. a normal weight for the length and the lightness of silver. The necklace is not marked. However, I have consulted and found all specialists who know Native American silverwork are in agreement with me that this is a sterling silver necklace of high quality and impeccable workmanship. I have been advised against chemical testing as unnecessary and possibly damaging.
