Description: From my living estate sale today comes a wonderful mid-century impressionist painting done in pastels on artists paper created in 1955 and signed by the artist T. Chase. The painting depicts a singular figure seated at a very colorful Parisian style street cafe. I picked this up at a Kansas City art fair in the 1970s and I am quite sure the frame and backing are both original as well. Very nice shabby Chic distressed off white frame and a simple reddish brown matting serve the painting well. I have never really tried very hard to identify the fine artist. I have just enjoyed their work. So either way it is a treasure to me, but time to pass along to a new owner. Perhaps someone who can research and find if it's even a greater treasure than just the enjoyment of its' presentation. A very talented artist to be sure. The painting displays at 14" x 21" and the overall frame is 21" x 27". As always, free shipping and the "Best Offer: format for buyer considerations.
