Description: A nice old Japanese candy dish or small shallow bowl with a pink chrysanthemum design. It is 8" long, 4-5/8" wide and 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" deep at the rim. It has a Meiji style red and gold 2 character mark that I have not been able to identify. The condition is very good, overall with good color and little gold wear. It does have a few shallow edge chips that barely get through the gold trim and could be easily touched up (next to last photo shows the worst of these). There is also a more significant edge chip that has a tight 1" long crack (last photo). Despite these minor issues, it displays beautifully.
