Description: This stunning Japanese cloisonne vase from the Meiji era showcases an intricate design featuring geometrical, floral and butterfly panels on a black ground. This antique original dates back to 1850-1899 and is a beautiful representation of Japanese art and craftsmanship. It measures 6.5" tall and has a top and base diameter of 1 1/2”, and comes from my personal collection. I acquired it from a cloisonné collector in Toledo Ohio. Condition: The usual, small pitting commensurate with age. There is only one area of damage as shown. It is on the blue panel, a depression and a flake of 3/8”, as shown in the photo. It truly is not very noticeable because it blends in with the brown flowers on the panel. Shipped via USPS priority mail, insured.
