Long ago in Ye Olden Days, the only way to get nice copies of a few choice Lupin III Part 2 episodes was to acquire the 5-LD 'Black' series, well-known for their striking black covers and white line art character portraits taken from the opening credits. Each of the five discs contained four of the most popular/groundbreaking episodes. Volume 1 has episodes #1, 66, 99, and 108. Episode #99 is noteworthy in that it was the first TV episode EVER to be broadcast in stereo; and not just Lupin III or anime in general, but the first episode of ANYTHING to be in stereo. It's stereo on this LD, too. This LD still has its obi, and I bought it new, so I know for sure that it never had any inserts. JAPANESE LASERDISCS ARE JUST THAT: THEY ARE JAPANESE!!! My Japanese LDs are NOT IN ENGLISH!! Do not expect any English dub/sub on the Japanese LDs!
