Description: Bit of a mystery on my hands here. I do not know what vehicle this would have been on? I looked through Ford Lion but nothing looked correct. It is similarly shaped to the classic Jaguar emblem but it is a lion. It has a hand marked ©52 on the lower right hand foot when looking as if in the car. This is leading me to believe that it was an aftermarket artists casting. I found one similar looking piece on Worthpoint but without a membership I can not really do much with that. •Cast from a non-magnetic alloy. I'm thinking zinc but I am not a metallurgist. •Approximately 7.5" tip of nose to tail. 1 & 7/16" at widest point. •Weighs 782gr. (or 1Lbs. 11.5oz). •Has a 1.25" long 1/4" threaded post. •There are 3 marks along center back to the tip of tail. Possibly something was cut away. They also look like they may have been casting flaws/spill over. (I really do not have any way of knowing original condition or appearance).You could easily grind these smooth/fill to make piece look unblemished if you want to. I have circled them in red for last 3 pictures. • Other than those 3 marks circled in last pictures I see no other damage. Threading is mostly clean and not striped. Features/details are clean.
