The lamp requires a separate hand pump (not included) to pressurize. Not seen much outside Amish areas. It's handy to have one these around for storms, power outages, rustic cabins, or just a decor piece that you could rely on for light in an emergency. Included in the sale is the hanging rod so you can either hang the lamp from the ceiling or use on a table. The lamp uses the common Coleman 220 lantern style generator.
