Description: Up for sale is a very nice copy of “The Land of Oz” by Frank L. Baum in its original dust jacket. This is the “Popular Edition”, which first appeared in 1924. This copy can be dated right to about 1930 because “The Yellow Knight of Oz” is the last book that is listed on the flap of the DJ as book #23, and there Reilly and Lee imprint on the spine is boldface. The book also has the one color plate internally and this was discontinued in later printings after 1934 or perhaps earlier. CONDITION: The book is in solid Very Good condition. There is discoloration to the rear of the book cover as shown in photo, but otherwise the front is bright and free of significant blemishes. The dust jacket is just in “Fair” condition but it’s still there!, and did its intended job of protecting the book. It is not protected in a Mylar jacket.
