It can still be placed in his fist as as shown for display. If it ever breaks off you'll still have part of the handle left to put in his hand.Joints are fairly tight overall, hip connections are not as tight as the rest of the figure. He still stands unassisted as shown, but does take a little balance to stand due to his top heavy winged design.
