Description: This is an extremely high precision 5kOhm wire wound standard resistor made by Julie Research Labs, likely sometime in the ’60s or ‘70s. It is a model NB503, serial number 54. Julie Labs was the premier precision resistor maker of that time. A bit of Googling for NB503 turns up a tolerance spec of 0.0015%, but I don’t have a meter capable of measuring that. Dimensions are approximately 1” diameter by 2” long.
