Both the jacket (secured in mylar) and the volume are in good condition. Here and there, the former is frayed, torn, and lightly stained, but the ink remains quite bright. The volume is free of annotations, underscores, &c. This copy bears the date 1934--but was printed during the early 1940s; the paper, manufactured according to the wartime standard, though very heavily toned, is not at all brittle. There is a stain on the fore-edge, and a portion of this stain is also visible on the rear endpapers. The volume is cocked but, when shelved, will stand true.
