The first photo is his posed individual head photo as a freshman, where those great eyebrows, which would contribute so much to his characterizations, are already formed and prominent. The next shot shows him (while a Freshman) on the Sophomore Football team and his image in the scan shown has not been "enchanced"...he literally jumps out of the entire picture where his Jersey is the darkest and clearest and he has a special presence. The final scan shows him on the Freshman wrestling team, and here, more because of his size, he is a dominant figure in the photo. This book is in very good collectible condition. It has NO major defects. It shows wear and some fading to the cover and corners (mostly rubbing on the back cover and age toning to the ivory-colored front and back covers), but the spine and binding are in excellent shape. The pages inside are in near-mint, excellent, still slick and glossy, condition. This is a GREAT early representation of a comic icon.
