Features an interesting art nouveau style Repousse Lady Liberty popping out of a 1924 Peace Dollar. The 1924 Peace dollar is a silver coin minted by the Philadelphia Mint during the fourth year of the Peace dollar series. The Peace dollar was designed by Italian-American sculptor Anthony De Francisci to commemorate the peace that ended World War I. Pendant is on a heavy sterling cable link chain. Back of pendant has James Avery “JA” candelabra maker’s mark and “STER” stamp. Clasp of chain is stamped “STERLING”. James Avery Artisan Jewelry is a family-owned jewelry retailer based in Texas, and the founder, James Avery, first started making jewelry in Kerrville in 1954. This is a rare & retired design of James Avery’s! Chain measures approximately 24.25 inches long and has a spring ring clasp. Pendant measures approximately 1.5 inches long (including bail) by 1.4 inches wide. Entire necklace weighs approximately 43.51 grams (chain weighs 21.1 grams; pendant weighs 22.4 grams). In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Necklace has some patina as expected with age & wear, but can be polished if you desire.
