Description: Rare small cabinet card from the nineteenth century with an illustration of a poor Irish immigrant reading a wall poster advertising voyage to New York. The name of the artist is also on the card but I can’t make it out. The man who is shown is a stereotype, looking a lot like a leprechaun or caricatures of the Irish at that time. Measures approximately 2.5” by just over 3.75”. Has age spots, age toning, soiling, slight warp, foxing, etc. Thanks for looking!
