Description: This is an antique chromolithograph print from a political magazine that was quite popular in its day, PUCK, and very popular among political cartoon collectors today. This series of PUCK cartoons are clever, beautifully illustrated and provide an historical picture of the state of life and politics in 1889. TEXT: HEALTH CRANKS, AND THEIR HALLUCINATIONS (See pictures for smaller text in image.)ARTIST: OPPER, SIGNED IN PLATE CONDITION: EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD — Clear, clean, very colorful and bright; no foxing, tears or folds. A really beautiful image. Nice dark lines and definition. (NOTE: SOFT CREASING FROM BEING IN BOUND VOLUME.) This print is about 135 years old and guaranteed to be original. It’s an authentic old chromolithograph from the aforementioned publication, and not a modern reproduction. The print is 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" with nice large margins. Matted it measure 12" x 16", which is a standard size, so custom framing is NOT required. Standard frames are readily available.
