Description: Maker: It's indisputable: Limoges says quality. And T&V - Tressemane and Vogt - produced some of the world's finest and most beautiful Limoges porcelain. Age: This elegant round serving platter has the T&V magenta "Hand Painted" banner decorator's mark number 16b that was in use between 1907 and 1919. A green underglaze "T&V Limoges France" white ware mark also appears. Source: The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, third edition. Design: The gold-trimmed pattern features a band of finely hand painted pink cabbage roses and a small gold and black trim against pure white fine porcelain. Two pink rose buds drop down from the band into the white center. Size: The platter is 12 1/4 inches wide and weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. Condition: It's in overall excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or significant wear. There is light wear and a small spot of missing paint on the gold trim - that's shown in the photo with the red arrow. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
