Description: Galloway Dial Indicator Bushing, these are hand made from 6061 aluminum. These bushings are designed to fit inside the poke hole on the Galloway #5 - barrel alignment block allowing you to use a standard dial indicator with a standard 3/8-inch shaft, the adapter comes with a thumb screw to hold the indicator. In the pictures you will see that the alignment block is used in conjunction with the Galloway #7 Barrel alignment rod this will allow you to check for barrel bushing fit you can see the dial is set on zero by moving the alignment rod you can see if the barrel bushing has some excessive movement, then by moving the rod to the barrel unlocked position you can determine how much movement there is between the locking lugs in your slide and the locking lugs on your barrel, when the alignment rod tip is in the firing pin hole your alignment is good. For Those folks that have and EGW barrel alignment block these bushing will work although the so-called poke hole is a tad smaller if you are going to use the Galloway #5-A let us know and we will adjust it before we ship. As you EGW users know the bottom of your block is flat so you will need to secure it to your slide for accurate measurements. The Galloway #5 Alignment Block has groves, so it sits down in your slide giving you a stable platform. See the last picture for the EGW block.
