Description: Fossil Shark Teeth 10 pc collection, similar to the collection shown here Odontaspis Lamna Age : Eocene ( approx 36 to 57 million Years Old) Location : Khouribga. Atlas Mountains, Morocco These teeth are indeed fossils! They are from an extinct shark called Odontaspis and also known as Otodus obliquus which lived approximately 57 to 36 million years ago during the Eocene Epoch. As with all sharks its skeleton was made of cartilage and this is the reason we normally only find teeth and vertabrae from these sharks. The Otodus obliquus was a great predator measuring up to around 9-10 m of length and 15 tons of weight and feed on marine mammals, large bony fish and other sharks.
