Description: PRETTY German bisque head girl wearing her factory-original, elaborate clothing....made by Ernst Heubach in the early 1900's....mold 1902....back of head is clearly marked....almost 14" tall to the top of her head and 16" to the top of her bonnet....for a common, inexpensive doll, she has the prettiest face....her clothing is quite amazing, made of fine gauze that is somewhere between brick red and rust in color....the skirt portion is lined in red cotton and the bodice is lined in white gauze....the clothing is really in excellent condition considering how fine it appears and feels....also included is a little lace-trimmed ruffle of the same gauze that came with the doll, I have no idea where it originally went, however think it would make a great partial collar at the neck....excellent, factory-original condition....bisque head is excellent with no damage or repairs....blue glass eyes retain excellent eyelid paint/wax, which I suspect was redone at some point in the past....eyes do not close/sleep all the way due to the web of stringing elastic inside the head preventing them from rocking....simple mohair wig was cheaply made and is quite sparse, though retains the original cardboard pate....completely factory-original gauze clothing is in good, solid condition, though might have been more red originally....the seam up the back of the dress was re-sewn at some point in the past and is coming undone, you may wish to redo it....no shoes or socks....original wire stringing from the head to the legs is a little wonky, making the legs difficult to pose, so you may wish to re-string....from a non-smoking and pet-free home....NOTE: display stand not included....please study all photos, feel free to ask questions, and be sure to check out my other interesting antique auctions! A note about shipping: I list all items with a five-day handling time due to my work schedule, however ship as quickly as possible. I always carefully stuff these bisque heads to protect the fragile glass eyes. Please note the three different options for shipping (FedEx Ground/Home, USPS Ground, USPS Priority Mail). With the exception of Canada, NO international shipping.
