EXCEPTIONALLY RARE 1945 Singer Featherweight 221

Description: An Exceptionally Rare 1945 Singer Featherweight. May I Introduce Veronica. She was born September 9,1945. (Serial number AG543733). The reason Veronica is rare is that Singer did not make any featherweights from 1942 to 1944 because of WWII. Veronica was the first batch of featherweights that Singer made after WWII. In fact only 20,000 were made, making her one of the rarest years of featherweights. Even though Veronica is 79 years old she still loves to travel to classes and retreats. Veronica works very well and overall is in amazing condition. Her bed is in excellent shape for her age. The finish on Veronica is in extremely good condition with a bright shine and only a few scratches. The decorative border around the base of Veronica is in good condition. It only shows some wear appropriate to its age. Veronica has been cleaned, serviced, polished and tested. The belt (super belt), light (LED), felt pad, protective silicon button, bed cushions and red spool pin cover are all new. A new needle has also been put on Veronica. Her bobbin case has been adjusted to 23g. I have included a sample stitch that was done on Veronica before I listed her. Veronica’s foot pedal has been cleaned, serviced and tested. Her power cord are in good condition and still has the original Bakelite plug. These Bakelite plugs are getting harder and harder to find. Veronica’s house (the case) is in good condition for 79 years old. As with all cases from that era there is always some wear. It still has the original leather handle. Both latches work. The case still has the removable tray, oil can holder and a key (which accidently did not make it in the pictures). Veronica comes with: a pristine reproduction owner’s manual, 3 bobbins, an original bobbin case, an original pressor foot, a narrow hemmer, a ruffler, a bias binder, a bias binder cutter, a narrow zipper foot, a wide zipper foot a gathering foot (AKA shirring foot), an adjustable hemmer, an edge stitcher, a seam guide, a seam guide nut, a magnetic seam guide, a measuring gauge, thread snips, a small vintage Singer screwdriver, a vintage cleaning brush, 20 micro cleaning brushes and a key for the case. The featherweight comes with everything seen in the photos. Please see pictures. The shipping box is approximately 21 x 14 x 13 inches and weighs 22 pounds. When I ship, I wrap the featherweight, any attachment box and foot pedal in packing cellophane then put bubble wrap inside the case. I then wrapped the case in cellophane. This way there is less chance of the finish being marred during shipping. I put inflatable air tubes around the case to cushion the featherweight while it is shipped. I take the spool pin cover off and put a piece of cardboard to cover the opening. I wrap the spool pin cover in cellophane and bubble wrap. I then put the spool pin cover in the case. This way there is less chance of it breaking during shipping. I write this so you have an idea of how I ship so you do not worry about the featherweight while it is coming to you.
