It measures 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" and is 318 pages followed by one page of advertisements. The book is in Good-Very Good condition only with uneven fading to the spine (i.e., please see image #2 below), with a light dampstain to the fore-edge of mostly the first-and last-few pages (e.g., image #4 below) and the fore-edge outside margin of the illustration pages. There is some light foxing, mostly to the pages immediately adjacent to the illustration pages, and there is some gentle overall wear. There are seven (as issued), full-page, halftone illustrations (e.g., please see image #3 below) by John Cloleman Burroughs; they are printed on glossy paper, which is blank on the reverse. There is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no writing inside, and there are no loose pages.
