Description: This is an Australian Indigenous oil painting by artist Happy Reid. The work is titled "Kumiya and Liru" which the two snakes represent a folklore tale of beings or gods represented by these 2 snakes to the local indigenous population. Happy Reid was a well known artist in the Mutitjulu community which is located in the Northern territory of Australia. The work is an oil on canvas measures 35.5 x 15 inches , the frame measures 40.5 x 20.25 inches. The frame is hand painted and is original to the artwork. There is the original COA on back which identifies the artist and the community. The paintings is in excellent condition and from 2004, the frame is very good but has a couple of little wear spots.
