One is a really long movie, that's FOUR and a half hours long, and would be a mini-series if aired on television! First up is called 'True Detective', and is season 1. Starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Set in Louisiana, it's weird, thought-provoking, and entertaining, all at the same time! The show is still running (on HBO), and much like 'American Horror Story', each season changes the cast and the story. Season 4 aired this year, but the first season, included in this bundle, came out TEN years ago, in '14. Next we laugh with the COMPLETE series of a very funny show called 'Blue Mountain State', and the three season box set! It's raunchy and irreverent, but always hilarious. They ended the show after the third season, and a movie came out a bit later. (Not included.) College football was never this entertaining! The four and a half hour movie is titled 'Gettysburg', and it's the director's cut. Originally released in '93, this extended version came out in 2011. This is the Blu-ray of a Civil War epic, and it's an interesting and historical drama starring Tom Berenger, Jeff Daniels, and Martin Sheen, among many others. Stephen King wrote a novel titled 'The Stand', and it was first published in 1978. In 1999, they released a TV mini-series based on the 'The Stand'. King's lengthy novel made it to TV as a SIX hour series, starring Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, and Rob Lowe, among many more. Jeffrey Dahmer was the subject of a Netflix series made about him this past year. It's long, and very detailed. They keep the gore to a minimum, but the horror of what he did is still front and center. Dahmer is played here by Evan Peters, and the official title is 'Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story". It's shocking, as it's based on what really happened. It's also hard to look away, but is thoroughly entertaining. And we end with a celebrity story. About actress Pam Anderson and Motley Cru drummer Tommy Lee. It's a little over five and half hours long, on two DVDs. Pam and Tommy made a private sex tape with themselves, and only for themselves. It got stolen by a contractor (played by Seth Rogen), then spread like wildfire! Based on the true story that actually happened. A couple of these were bought new, and are still shiny and clean. A few others have very light surface marks on the discs. Nothing bad, or that will affect play. All cases look great.
