Description: This Kit is to Repair or Upgrade your 6138 or 6139 Seiko Movement. These Swiss Jewels are Custom Made. Originally these Chrono bridges came with Bushings for the minute + intermediate minute recording wheels rather then Jewels. Over time these bushing wear out and render the chrono bridge useless and UN-repairable Until Now. Worn Chrono bridge bushings can lead to several issues including the watch stopping when the sweep hand reaches the 58 min. mark with the chrono running. With this kit you can Upgrade your 17J movement to a 19J movement or your 21J movement to a 23J movement. If you combine this kit with the Barrel Arbor Jewel kit I sell, a 17J movement becomes a 21J movement and a 21J movement becomes a 25J movement. Installation of these jewels requires special horological tools such as a SEITZ JEWELING TOOL and a K+D STAKING SET or another similar brand of Jeweling tool + Staking Set as seen in the photos. You will also need the correct Seiko S-500, S-501, or similar movement holder to support the minute recording wheel jewel when installing the sub dial hand. *Please keep in mind, if proper procedures with the correct tools aren't followed carefully a positive outcome is not possible and there is NO GUARANTEE against breakage. I have installed many of these jewels myself and have never encountered any breakage.
