Description: Caughley Salopian Royal Lily Fluted Lozenge Dish A wonderful 18th century Caughley Salopian Royal Lily lobed form, painted in underglaze blue. During his visit to the Flight Worcester factory in 1788, King George III ordered a breakfast service in the Blue Lily pattern which was renamed "Royal Lily" in honour of Queen Charlotte. This is a Caughley piece of the same pattern. Circa 1785. Approx. 6.5"H X 10"W.
