The surface for this kit must be flat. Another kit is offered for curved surfaces such a BevMax and HVV. The kit eliminates the need to drill into the machine to mount the reader. There must be 2.5” of flat open space above the factory validator mounting hole. This spacing is common on stack soda vending machines made by Dixie Narco, Royal Vendors, Vendo, and USI. Some models of American Changers front load dollar bill changer also meet the spacing requirements. Amusement games such as newer pinball machines made by Stern and Jersey Jack also have space. The bill box on the validator must be the 200 note version.This mask kit is offered in two versions. The first low-profile version that is either plastic (for lower cost) that protrudes 0.25” from the front of the machine. The second version protrudes 1.25” to allow room to insert 2 antennas, thus the need to drill into the machine is eliminated.The validator to card mask kit fits the following brands of validators: Mars/MEI Series 2000, CPI Talos, ICT Pay Way A6/V4, Coinco Vantage, Pyramid Series 5000, 6000, 7000, and GBA validators. The important consideration is that the validator must be fitted with a #1 style basic mask. If you have a different mask on the bill acceptor, it will need to be changed to the basic mask.When the kit is installed in a stack soda machine, the validator will need a 300-note bill box to fit properly. The metal brace below the validator slot may also need to be removed. When the kit is installed in a pinball machine, the validator will need a 200-note bill box to fit properly.The newer models of Cantaloupe/USA Technology utilize two antennas with instructions that indicate the antennas should be separated from one another. However, we have tested this by placing the two antennas side by side and the reception was normal. Results may vary based on the local signal strength at your location. Based on your situation, you may need to mount one of the antennas in this mounting bracket and the second antenna externally.Installation instructions will be sent with the kit.
