Description: One original owner ( from authorized B&W dealer ). No modifications made, factory original. Kept in environmentally controlled room from date of purchase. Original : shipping boxes, owners manual, brochure and floor spikes. The original shipping boxes have serial numbers corresponding to the speakers - a true right and left pair.All fabric is perfect. There is a validation test , entire speakers tested by the factory including the most important frequency response test.The only amp that was ever connected to these speakers was an Acoustic Research AR 60 (60 watts) and a Macintosh pre amp. The amp setup was for clarity and depth, not volume. These were NOT party speakers. They were used infrequently, but regardless each month I played a disc through them to keep the coils and circuit boards in optimal condition.The wood cases have been polished regularly and there is no warping, cracking, etc. there are a few minor scratches near bottom and edge ( see photo). Almost impossible to find a speaker manufacturer that has a flat response character as the B&W ( with proof ). Some vintage speakers like these have been reconditioned and resold through brokers.
