This is a very rare review copy which includes a custom made case by David Ashley out of Denver, CO. Additionally, the copy will include the original Random House review slip with price and publication date, the two page (front and back) authors prospectus printed on heavy gauge cream paper and the author photo specific to Blood Meridian. The photo is often absent from those review copies that do hit the market. The book is in VG condition with old book smell, a slight forward lean and slightly bumped corners. There is no remainder mark, there are no markings of any kind within the book or on the text block and the gilt lettering is intact. The dust jacket is in VG condition with some rubbing to the panels, edgewear and slight curling, a micro tear to rear panel edge, bottom. The copy has not been price clipped, nor does it have any fading typical of so many copies on the spine and front panel. A wonderful and very uncommon item.
