Billy Joel "Glass Houses" tour. Full size 39 x 59 Caldor dept. store poster 1980

Description: This full-size 39 x 59 Caldor department store poster from 1980 features Billy Joel during his "Glass Houses" tour. The poster is a great piece of music memorabilia for fans of the Piano Man and collectors alike. It showcases Joel's iconic style and energy during a tour that took place over four decades ago. Fairly sure, "but not positive", the poster was printed in the United States and is an excellent addition to any collection of rock and pop music memorabilia. The perimeter of the back side of the poster was taped to protect fraying many years ago and two solid strips were placed top and bottom to ensure no major tears when I hung this up 40 years ago. I only had it hanging for a while, rolled it up in a solid fiber tube and there it has been ever since. I figured it was time to give it up and let others enjoy it. Trying to remove the tape and solid pieces top and bottom would most certainly destroy whatever integrity the poster currently has. I took photos of most of the areas of concern. Of course if you had further questions or wanted more photos, I could do that. This is a Columbia poster. Rare in itself. I think subsequent posters and marketing were by another record company. There are some water stains along the left side of the poster (see photos), but honestly the poster is so huge that when you standback and focus on the entirety of the image, you don't really see them. Keep in mind this poster is over 40 years old !!!Is it perfect, absolutely not, but its rare and for the age, I personally think its in great shape.
