Description: This is a one of a kind item that you will likely never see again. On May 26, 1935, the Boston Braves travelled to play the Cincinnati Reds. Cincinnati was preparing for the arrival of Babe Ruth who joined the national league in his final season of 1935. They claimed the day as “Babe Ruth Day” on May 26th the day after the Babe hit his final 3 home runs of his career in Pittsburgh. This is a truly one of a kind item which features the engraving, “Babe Ruth Day - Boston vs Reds - May 26, 1935 - Thanks, Bambino”. This item was given to the Babe that day in pre-game ceremony by the Reds fans and organization. Babe bombed that day as he struck out three times against Si Johnson. Ruth retired a few days later. This is for the serious Ruth collector from one of the most historic moments of his career.
