The binding design on these volumes is an authorized facsimile of the original art binding on the French copy of the Versailles Peace Treaty, which was signed by President Poincare and foreign minister S. Pichon, and deposited in the Archives of the French Government. Overall Condition: good/ excellent. General comments. Binding Good- no stains, bent corners, wear to leather ( other than that reported below). Flaws: all show wear to binding leather starting at top. Most severe: volume 1 & 5 ( cellophane tape added), Volume 3 rim binding separated. Vol. 5, 6, 7. Wear to top of binding ( as if taken down from bookshelf , repeatedly, at same point). NOTE: No effort made by writer to repair or discard previous attempts. Please see photo’s for details. Writer will gladly provide additional photo’s upon request. Pages Excellent. All 7 volumes: no markings, signatures, rips, tears, folds, loose pages or lost pages.
