Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I am selling my very extensive Arthur Szyk collection from very rare items to more common. There are books, magazines, pamphlets, bookplates, prints, post cards, posters, stamps, labels, envelopes, and many more items. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This lot is for a complete sheet of 40 stamps from the Israel Interim Period of 1948. This is one of the Diaspora sheets with the “Haifa” black overprint in a complete sheet of 40 stamps. Using a 1994 Bale catalog, the catalog numbers are I.51f-I.60f – This is the Blue color series with the “H” for “Haifa” overprints. (Catalog # I.58f is the “Cobbler” stamp designed by Arthur Szyk.) The sheet had been folded in half at the middle by the horizontal perforations to be able to fit in a binder. IMPORTANT NOTE. I have a note to myself regarding this sheet indicating that it is for “Reference Purposes Only”, indicating that this is not a real issue. Back side has gum, and importantly, each stamp on the back side is stamped “Forgery”. Hence the lower price. Otherwise the value would be in the thousands if it were genuine. None-the-less, this is a great material for reference purposes. Not seen since I acquired this on a mail bid auction house prior to 1990, over 34 years ago. See photos. Photos shown are considered as part of and in addition to the description. 1) I accept PayPal. 2) Winning U.S. bidder to pay $8.00 S/H. 3) All Bidders: Payment must be sent within 2 days from the close of the auction.
