Antique Victorian 1890s Gray and Pink Silk Dress

Description: This is a beautiful dress from the late 1890s era, I would say 1897-1898. It is made of a thick gray silk with pink silk accents and black lace. The bodice is in super good condition and has a blind closure, plastron at the top. This dress is so crazy small, that the bodice wouldn't even close on my small child's mannequin!!! The inner part of the bodice closes up the front with hooks and eyes, while the top plastron closes on the left side with hooks and thread eyes. I tried to take photos of how it closes, so please look closely at those! The lace on the bodice is super wide so falls down the front of the bodice quite nicely! You can see where the silk has faded over the years in the photos where the plastron is held at the side. The bodice is fully lined with cotton and boned. There is some wear at the cuffs and collar. The skirt is fully lined with brown cotton and has hang loops! There is staining on the skirt that I am sure can be removed by a dry cleaner who specializes in antique clothing! It also appears that there were places on the skirt front where there was trim sewn on. Very cool! Please see all photos for condition and any flaws.
