Description: Interesting antique book on engineering and how machines work. They teach this through color illustrations that fold open and show the different moving parts. Some plates have quite a few fold outs, even small parts fold open, but I only show a few in the pictures, as they were a bit tricky to hold open and take a picture! Cover has some rubbed areas and just general shelf wear. Spine is just solid black cloth without any title printed. Pages and plates have some darkening, but they still look great. Descriptive text is in German. 8 plates on thick heavy weight mat pages. Undated, but circa 1910 Most likely the plates in this book were assembled by hand. At least I can't think of a manufacturing solution for how else it could have been made, during this era. 13" x 9.25"
