Description: Made in 1923 by the Lenox China/porcelain company for the Marshall Field & Company Department Store in Chicago, Illinois. Very rare Tremont plate pattern 1830 with the number X-100-A. The code on the back of each plate is written in gold. These items were special order for Marshall Field and were all hand decorated with the greatest of care. The Art Deco floral motif with fruits is exquisite. The edge is gold trim - the wide cobalt blue band has flowers and fruit in urns. The colored decoration is hand painted and raised for a dramatic effect. The plate measures 10-1/2" across. Excellent condition with minimal wear. See photos.
